This week, something incredible happened in Camden — and it happened because of you.
Our Mobile Food Pantry rolled into the neighborhood for one of our largest pop‑up events yet, bringing fr
esh produce, pantry staples, personal care items, and household essentials directly to families who need them most. By the end of the day, over 75 families had received support, dignity, and a reminder that their community cares deeply about them.
This wasn’t just another event. It was a clear living example of what happens when generosity turns into action.
Your Spring Donations Made This Possible
Each spring, St. John of God Community Services leans on the compassion and love of our supporters to help us meet rising needs across South Jersey. This year, we asked for your support in growing our mobile food pantry so that we can provide even more events and items to our community.
Because of your donations:
We were able to add more Mobile Food Pantry pop‑ups to our calendar.
We stocked the Camden event with fresh, high‑quality food that families rarely receive from traditional food banks.
We provided relevant items, such as emergency blankets, to meet each persons needs.
We distributed personal care products that are often unaffordable but essential for dignity.
We reached families in their community and brought the love to them.
Your support didn’t just fill shelves — it filled hearts and stomachs.
A Day of Connection, Community, and Care
These Mobile Food Pantry events are an incredible way to collaborate with partners and organizations who also deeply care about their community. Because of the growing popularity of our mobile food pantry, we were able to partner with Liscios Bakery, Telecorp, VMX Technologies, American Legion Post 133, and JP Morgan. All of these partners helped provide for this community and truly make an impact.
Community collaborations and expanding our mission of compassionate hospitality is why the Mobile Food Pantry exists. It creates a domino effect of Doing Good.
